CNN anchor signs off for last time after 24 years

In a move that has resonated across the cable news landscape, longtime CNN anchor Christine Romans has announced her departure from the network after more than 24 years of dedicated service.

Her exit, marked by an emotional on‑air sendoff last Friday, comes at a time when CNN continues to struggle with dwindling ratings and fierce competition from other news outlets.

Romans, widely recognized as the steady face of CNN’s “Early Start” and its chief business correspondent, signaled that it was time to turn the page and embark on a new chapter in her career.
